About the Role

Job Description

This role involves leveraging expertise in fleet management and planning to drive innovation within a rapidly evolving field.

The successful candidate will oversee 24-hour depot operations, ensuring efficient daily management of resources and optimizing space and operations within the depot.

Key responsibilities include coordinating train movements, providing real-time support and management for operational defects, and submitting timely reports to clients.

  1. Manage Depot Operations: Oversee efficient daily management of depot resources, including optimizing space and operations within the depot.
  2. Coordinate Train Movements: Ensure smooth coordination of train handovers, movements, and scheduling within the depot.
  3. Defect Management: Provide real-time support and management for operational defects and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  4. Reporting and Communication: Submit timely reports and maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are promptly addressed.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also lead projects that align with contractual and business objectives, optimizing fleet management and performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience or understanding of maintenance planning within a rail environment
  • Knowledge of metro train systems and basic troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with IT tools such as SAP, MS Project, and Maximo
  • Certification in project management or related fields (preferred but not required)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility with working hours to ensure 24-hour coverage
