Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainable Mobility Specialist to join our team in implementing road safety, green mobility and low emission zones in Indian cities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban spatial and/or environmental issues, with experience working on air pollution control, EV policy integration and urban design.

The role involves developing and operationalizing a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) framework tailored for Mathura, conducting baseline assessments of vehicular and industrial emissions, identifying vehicle categories, emission thresholds, and compliance strategies, as well as proposing monitoring mechanisms.

Additionally, the successful candidate will assess and recommend sustainable mobility solutions, support roadmap preparation for EV integration across municipal transport operations, propose policies for encouraging clean fuels, scrappage of end-of-life vehicles, and charging infrastructure development.

The role also involves conducting consultations with local businesses, citizen groups, and transport operators, supporting awareness and capacity-building activities, designing analysis and project development, tactical urbanism, training and development, reporting and communication, creative development, community engagement and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in environmental science, Urban Planning or Design and/or allied disciplines
  • Proven experience working on urban spatial and/or environmental issues
  • Strong research, data analysis, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote location, and as part of a team
  • Hindi and English fluency
