Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Mobile Application Developer to craft a mobile application for livestock management at the intersection of Climate and AI.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native, proficiency in the Typescript ecosystem, and knowledge of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing the product's mobile app, developing UX and designing front-end interfaces.

Our successful candidate thrives in environments where they can think deeply about products, has experience with iterative software development, and is pragmatic and understands trade-offs in software engineering.

  • Partner with our product team and farming partners to understand their work.
  • Develop a mobile app that meets farmers' and herding professionals' requirements.
  • Maintain high engineering and coding standards.

Additional skills such as familiarity with mapping libraries in React Native or Native frameworks, native iOS and Android ecosystems, UX best practices for SaaS-based interfaces & AI, and contributions to open-source projects are a plus.

In the first six months, you will build a mobile app that enables farmers to see their farm map with multiple layers and annotations, create virtual polygons to plot regions for their farms, annotate polygons with points of interest, generate heat maps of farm livestock activity, and integrate with APIs to view livestock on the map.
