Cloud Database Specialist

This is a challenging role for someone who excels in managing, monitoring and optimizing databases hosted on cloud platforms.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of database technologies and cloud infrastructure. They should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various teams to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provisioning, configuring and maintaining cloud-hosted databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitoring database performance using cloud-native tools and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring data backup and recovery processes are implemented and adhered to.
  • Migrating databases from on-premises systems to the cloud.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and development teams for database-related needs.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore and disaster recovery fundamentals.
  • Awareness of database security best practices.
