Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Migration Specialist to lead end-to-end database migrations across various platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environments, including backup/recovery, replication, and monitoring.

Key responsibilities include leading the migration lifecycle, defining and driving migration strategy, and planning, designing, and executing Oracle database migrations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN, implementing delta data synchronization strategies, and using Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring and migration validation.

In addition, the candidate will collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer implementation and management.
  • Rubrik for backup, restore, and DR integration, and RMAN for backup/recovery, delta sync, cloning, and duplication.
  • OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) for monitoring and migration validation, and hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Recovery Vaults).
  • Experience in data purging, retention policies, and compliance for regulated environments.
