Microsoft Data Governance Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive the design, implementation, and adoption of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the deployment and management of Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Define and implement data classification, labeling, and protection policies across Microsoft 365, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in Purview.
  • Integrate Purview with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, SOX, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities, as well as familiarity with Azure services, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.

Required skills and qualifications include 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Data Governance, or Information Protection, and a proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
