We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Collection Strategist to join our team at IDFC FIRST Bank. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing a team and coordinating operational recovery activities for an area credit portfolio in your assigned territory.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in collections and possess excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings. Your expertise will enable you to minimize front delinquencies, work closely with the legal team, and provide sound legal advice on how to manage delinquencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Handle area collection responsibilities for specific products.">
  • Drive collection efficiency and cost of collections for assigned areas.">
  • Track and control delinquency of areas, bucket-wise and DPD wise, focusing on non-starters.">
  • Review account allocations and collections targets by bucket to agencies/in-house teams.">
  • Frequently follow up with default customers through dedicated teams.">
  • Ensure that collection agencies and executives adhere to legal guidelines provided by the law.">
  • Manage productivity by setting parameters for in-house/agencies/collection executives, monitoring performance against set parameters, and daily reviewing the same.">
  • Maintain adequate 'feet on street' availability area-wise/bucket-wise/segment-wise.">
  • Evaluate agencies/DCTs being appointed and constantly assess their suitability.">
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure legal action is taken on specified cases.">
  • Built relationships with key clients to ensure timely collections are made.">
  • Determine suitable tactics or strategies for timely collections.">
  • Recommend process changes to improve service efficiency and quality across assigned areas.">
  • Advise improvements to processes and policies across Retail Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high-quality customer service.">
  • Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.">

Requirements

A graduate degree in any field and a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in collections is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

IDFC FIRST Bank offers a competitive salary of ₹12,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including medical insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Estimated Salary Range: ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,000,000 per annum
