Procurement Manager for High-Value Customer Projects

Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for coordinating and performing the supply side of project management activities related to high-value customer projects. This role focuses on T2 and T3 projects, aiming to improve COST, QUALITY, DELIVERY, SPEED, and CASH results for manufacturing plants and fulfillment centers in ISV global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and reinforce standards for a safe work environment.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and cross-functional kick-off meetings managed by Project Managers.
  • Engage and track customer projects during the pursuit phase, identifying key components, determining desired processes, and applying supply chain tools and processes to enhance leverage and support customer project objectives and timeline.
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure comprehensive plans and secure on-time delivery of project orders, following the standard Project Procurement Process and Templates.
  • Process Change Order Management with Project Managers, identifying costs and lead time impacts with suppliers, and deploying deviations with vendors after customer approval.
  • Collaborate with P&IC, Category Teams, and Key Suppliers to achieve margin uplift during the pursuit phase and record/report actuals in ProTrack during the execution phase.
  • Work with Logistics Teams to optimize Logistics Cost on the customer delivery side (from Emerson Site to Customer Site).
  • Ensure supplier capacity meets expectations and prices meet budgets during the bidding phase.
  • Guarantee on-time delivery for key components from Key Suppliers (Casting, Actuators).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Experience with e-sourcing (ARIBA).
  • Strong capability in planning and analytics, structured problem-solving, facilitating, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering graduate with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Persuasive communication, influencing, and negotiation skills (internally and externally).
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management, global sourcing, and logistics optimization initiatives.
