The Database Administrator plays a pivotal role in our organization's success by developing and creating innovative database solutions. This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in managing databases, optimizing performance, and collaborating with management to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in daily operations to support the business
  • Optimizing database (SQL calls) for maximum performance
  • Collaborating with management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Collaborating in operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement
  • Experience with SQL and stored routines
  • Experience working with HA Proxy, ProxySQL or MaxScale
  • Working knowledge of AWS database technologies like Aurora, RDS
  • Maintaining relationships with technology team members, external partners, and vendors
  • Monitoring key metrics for day-to-day performance
  • Performing technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate, and correct data and database issues

Requirements include:

  • 4 years of MySQL management experience
  • Experience in MySQL configuring HA and clustering solutions
  • Large-scale MySQL deployments
  • MySQL sharding architecture and techniques
  • Ability to work with Linux/Unix-based OS environments
  • MS SQL experience
  • Software as a service industry experience
  • Cloud experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and anticipate customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, set, and implement priorities and manage multiple tasks
