As a seasoned contracts negotiator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal function by streamlining legal review of commercial agreements and increasing efficiency for revenue/sales. This involves ensuring the smooth handling of critical documents, streamlining legal processes, and enabling the legal team to operate at peak efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, statements of work, master agreements, and data privacy agreements. They will maintain contracts to ensure accurate and compliant contract records, building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders along the way.

This is not just a support role – it's a critical function that ensures legal compliance, document integrity, and operational excellence. Your attention to detail and proactive support will directly contribute to the legal team's ability to protect and empower the business.

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for order forms, professional service agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, data privacy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements according to internal guidelines.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
  • Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and draft appropriate alternative terms, working closely with attorneys within the Legal team as needed.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Legal administrative processes and legal documents, including contracts, corporate records, non-disclosure agreements, data privacy agreements, etc.

Responsibilities also include partnering with other internal teams to drive process and operational improvements and ensure an extraordinary customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a university-level degree or equivalent, 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with directly customers or vendors, training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including IAACM or similar certification, familiarity with media organizations, and proficiency in MS Office - particularly advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
