Job Summary

The position of Chief Network Technical Specialist is critical to the smooth operation and maintenance of our network infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support for all network and OS product lines, diagnosing and resolving various network-related and product-related issues reported by customers.
  • Offer comprehensive support on customer cases with full accountability for escalated cases raised by Tier 1 teams and facilitate discussions with Product development teams as needed.
  • Analyze areas of misalignment or critical dead-ends and suggest corrective actions.
  • IDentify issues through support trends and propose corrective measures.
  • Prioritize resolution of specific high-touch issues.
  • Suggest ideas to enhance product UX.
  • Propose suggestions to make the UI more intuitive.
  • Perform lab recreations in our internal lab setup as part of troubleshooting.
  • Provide support and mentorship to Tier 1 team members in complex troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Stay up-to-date on latest features and trending technology, participating in team communication and keeping pace with enterprise and networking trends.
  • Collaborate closely with other Customer Engineering members as well as Software and Hardware development teams in diagnosing problems and communicating them in multiple technical contexts.
Key Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the networking industry, products, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model, IP Address and Subnetting, ARP, DHCP, DNS, POE (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt), ICMP, IPv4 & IPv6, and IEEE 802.1Q trunking, Wireless LAN Fundamentals, VPN, NAT/PAT, etc.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting utilities such as Ping, Traceroute, Wireshark (or similar packet capture and analysis tools).
