Job Overview

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, and other platforms to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with phData Provision Tool and related infrastructure tooling to guarantee smooth operations.
• Automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with Senior Engineers to define and implement DevOps processes that drive excellence.
• Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure to enhance system reliability.
• Set up required tools and infrastructure to support continuous integration and deployment.
• Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot techniques and coordinate bug fixes with developers to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for adherence and update or create new processes for improvement.
• Plan and build automated processes where possible to streamline operations.
• Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
• Select and deploy CI/CD tools and pipelines to optimize workflows.
• Build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline) for various technologies and platforms.
• Mentor and guide team members on DevOps collaboration to foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs to inform business decisions.
• Plan the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
• Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Manage stakeholders and external interfaces to maintain positive relationships.
• Provide periodic reporting on progress to management and customers to ensure transparency.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing.
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Ability to write clear runbooks and perform postmortems.
• Exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud.
• Exposure to other data-intensive or distributed systems (Kafka, Cassandra, etc.).
• Contributions to improving SRE practices (e.g., error budgets, blameless postmortems).
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation.
• Strong Linux background.
• Thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts.
• Hands-on skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD (Cloud Native CI/CD tools), etc. Hands-on experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience in cloud native tools and technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in test automation tools and mechanisms such as JMeter, Newman, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch/Kibana, Prometheus, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in at least one development language (Java or .NET).
• Scripting knowledge in python/shell etc. with experience on Linux/Windows.
• Team player.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders.
