Database Systems Administrator Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Administrator to manage, optimize, and support our database environments.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems.
  • Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
  • Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability solutions.
  • Implement and enforce database security, user access control, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with application teams to support database design, query optimization, and schema changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, outages, and performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain DBA documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Support automation initiatives for database administration and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for capacity planning and system upgrades.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with HADR, Data Sharing, and replication technologies.
  • Proficiency in backup/recovery strategies, DR planning, and execution.
  • Solid understanding of database security, roles, and privileges.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting (Shell/Perl/Python) and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of OS-level concepts related to databases.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work in production environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Exposure to cloud database services.
  • Knowledge of other RDBMS.
  • Experience with DevOps/CI-CD integration for databases.
