Strategic Mining Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Mining Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Insights & Advisory group, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our clients across the mining sector.

Job Description:

Our Strategic Mining Expert will work closely with government and public companies to understand their vision for the mining sector. They will develop comprehensive strategies to promote investment and growth, leveraging their technical expertise and analytical skills to drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans to promote investment and growth in the mining sector
  • Provide expert advice on mining areas to support regulatory frameworks and company strategies
  • Conduct research and analysis on regional mining industry trends, opportunities, and challenges
  • Collaborate with mining companies, investors, and local communities to promote sustainable practices and build relationships
  • Establish metrics to track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to methodologies, tools, and intellectual property related to mining sector trends and innovations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in Mining; MBAs preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the mining industry and overall experience of minimum 8 years in research and consulting
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mining areas, including exploration, resource evaluation, mine development, and beneficiation
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to make informed decisions
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Teamwork and Project Management: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
