The company's Aluminium Business is one of the world's top producers of aluminium at 2.3 million tonnes per annum, striving to become a fully integrated global leader in aluminium production.

As part of this endeavour, Vedanta's Bauxite and Coal mines vertical plays a crucial role in unlocking new values for the business.

To support this vision, we are seeking experienced professionals in the position of Head Mine Planning- Coal Mines at Mining Business.

This role will be instrumental in commencing new mines and achieving the company's objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Resource Modelling, Pit Optimization, Scheduling.
  • DPR preparation for mining blocks.
  • Preparation of Mining Plan (Statutory and operational).
  • Conducting scoping studies, coordinating feasibility studies, HEMM requirements.
  • Undertaking exploration programs including in-fill drilling to capture desired quality and quantity from the mine.
  • Liasing with statutory bodies for clearances and approvals.
  • Providing necessary data inputs for Forest and Environmental Clearances.

Candidate Profile:

  • 60% and above throughout education.
  • B.Tech / M. Tech (Mining Engineer) with 10+ years of experience, preferably in similar roles.
  • Knowledge & exposure to project planning & tracking tools like MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, documentation management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement, and mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
