Financial Services Product Controller

About us, a leading global investment banking and securities firm.
We focus on building out our investment banking effort, enhancing our capital markets businesses, and developing our alternative asset management platform.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily product control activities, produce accurate profit/loss statements, conduct balance sheet reviews and allocations, respond to stakeholder queries, resolve reporting challenges, and ensure data accuracy.
- Month End work: substantiate general ledger entries, reconcile reported profit/loss with ledger, identify differences and causes, perform analytical reviews and provide commentary (income statement and balance sheet), contribute to month-end reporting packs, manage stakeholder information requests, review or post journal entries.
- Additional responsibilities: improve existing controls and processes, participate in new business approval process, provide coverage for the Controllers Team, engage in project work.
Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years of product control experience in financial services required.
- Experience with securitized products and associated financing activities specific to the product set required.
- Strong Excel skills, effective written and oral communication skills, high attention to detail, ability to work with large amounts of data, prioritize workload to meet deadlines, proven history of improving controls and P/L production processes.
