Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA

Role Objective

To lead and manage the accounting operations of the Shared Services Centre, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and control processes across the FMCG business units.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, FA, Intercompany, Payroll Accounting).
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
  • Consolidate financial results across multiple business units and geographies.

Controllership & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to IFRS/IND-AS/US GAAP and statutory accounting standards.
  • Manage internal controls framework (SOX / IFC), audits, and risk management processes.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Shared Services Process Management

  • Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency in accounting processes across the Shared Services Centre.
  • Implement best practices in transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Monitor service delivery KPIs and ensure high-quality outputs.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Partner with FP&A and business teams to ensure accurate budgetary control and reporting.
  • Track and manage Shared Services Centre costs and drive efficiency initiatives.

Systems & Technology

  • Oversee ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) and financial tools implementation.
  • Ensure strong data governance and financial systems integrity.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key finance contact for business units, corporate HQ, and regional teams.
  • Provide insights to senior management on accounting, compliance, and control matters.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals in the Shared Services Centre.
  • Build a high-performance, compliance-driven finance culture.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in accounting standards and financial controls.
  • Hands-on experience in shared services / global business services (GBS) environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), financial consolidation tools.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-country accounting operations in FMCG/consumer goods.
