Job Summary:

Bechtel's Information Systems & Technology department is seeking a seasoned network specialist with at least 6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of networking, traffic management, firewall operations, and Secure Access Service Edge solutions like Zscaler. Additionally, they should be proficient in managing technology projects successfully and able to engage with customers to understand their business needs, providing appropriate solutions while ensuring the desired service levels are maintained.

Open to working flexible shifts, with working hours from 11:30 am to 08:00 pm IST. Shift timings may vary based on job requirements.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer policies for Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Manage Big IP F5 load balancers (LTM, APM, ASM)
  • Manage Infoblox / IPAM and DHCP server deployment.
  • Application deployment: working with application developers and security teams to ensure applications are deployed complying with security, operational, and change management standards.
  • Skills in troubleshooting issues using Zscaler's best practice process flow, tools, and support services
  • Provide support for Cloud proxy solution (Zscaler, Global Protect -PA).
  • Provide third level technical support for application traffic flow and Internet access issues.
  • Provide off-hour support based on rotation.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution, specialized courses in networking or information technology, or equivalent professional experience in a related domain.
  • More than six years of pertinent technology experience involving load balancers, firewalls, and SSL-VPN
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience managing SASE (Zscaler) technology in a large organization
  • Excellent at analyzing and thinking critically, capable of comprehending intricate business processes and converting them into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication abilities, including proficiency in writing, presentation skills, and reviewing technical documents

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is crucial. This includes knowing how to configure and manage these services.
  • Understanding of ZPA architecture, security, privacy, App Connector deployment option and the Private Service Edge.
  • Experience with ZPA features including, browser access, machine tunnel, and the user portal
  • Experience with advanced options like Bandwidth Control, DNS Security, and Nanolog Streaming Service (NSS)
  • Knowledge of various methods for traffic forwarding and user authentication is essential
  • Ability to review and adjust internet access and security policies to ensure they meet organizational needs
  • Proficiency in networking protocols, routing, and switching and ability to carry out installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls
