OpenEdge Support Role

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist with expertise in Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) to provide production support, resolve issues, monitor applications and make minor enhancements for business-critical applications.
The ideal candidate will be proactive in handling incidents, ensuring application stability, collaborating closely with users and development teams.
- Provide L2/L3 support for applications built on Progress OpenEdge.
- Monitor application performance, ensure system availability.
- Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, problem tickets within SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis, implement long-term fixes to recurring issues.
- Handle batch processes, jobs, scheduled tasks.
- Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, enhancements, release deployments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, standard operating procedures.
- Strong hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a support environment.
- Good understanding of Progress Database concepts, performance troubleshooting.
- Experience in incident management, problem management, change management.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands, scripting.
- Exposure to ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication skills.
