Executive Leader for Engineering and Strategy

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive strategy, execution, and growth of our platform organization.

This role will oversee core infrastructure, developer experience, data platforms, and frontend frameworks that power large-scale SaaS products across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Platform Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a 12–18 month vision for the platform organization, aligning technical direction with business priorities.
  2. Frontend Enablement: Establish frameworks and shared component libraries to accelerate development in modern stacks.
  3. Data Platform & Compliance: Build unified approaches for ingestion, governance, observability, and schema validation across multiple data stores.
  4. Infrastructure & Cloud Operations: Lead ownership of Kubernetes clusters, networking, IaC, and cloud security.
  5. Developer Experience & Reliability: Champion robust CI/CD pipelines, progressive rollout practices, fault-injection testing, and end-to-end observability standards.
  6. Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec and Legal teams to integrate controls for SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regional frameworks.
  7. Leadership & Culture: Grow and mentor engineers across platform, infrastructure, and data domains.
  8. Cross-Functional Influence: Translate technical health metrics into business outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading platform, infrastructure, or SRE teams in high-scale SaaS environments.
  2. Deep experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider.
  3. Strong technical grounding in TypeScript/Node.js, container orchestration, IaC, service meshes, and event-driven systems.
  4. Proven ability to design and deliver multi-region or data-residency compliant architectures.
  5. Track record of implementing CI/CD, observability, contract testing, and reliability practices.
  6. Comfort working in regulated industries with SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent standards.
