Program Manager Job Description

Job Title: Program Manager

Description: We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the delivery of software engineering projects and programs. The successful candidate will partner with engineering, product, and internal business teams to ensure understanding of priorities, execution visibility, project delivery, and achievement of targeted outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Strategy and Planning:
  • Create and manage program-level plans, goals, and roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
  • Collaborative Execution:
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members to facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking.
  • Delivery Management:
  • Monitor and report on project and program progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Team member Communication:
  • Promote communication between engineering, product, and team members.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
  • Manage project and program issues, maintain risk mitigation plans, and contingency strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
