Job Overview
  • Undertake design projects from conceptualization to completion, taking ownership of all aspects from initial inquiry to final execution.
  • Develop and refine designs, collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality results.
  • Initiate and gather information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients and establishing project timelines.
  • Understand clients' needs and develop design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs.
  • Responsible for activities commencing from sketch concept stages, presentation, design finalization, budgeting, third-party contracting until the execution.
  • Select materials and negotiate project fees, ensuring that they meet technical and functional requirements within agreed budgets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, research and gather information related to the project; prepare 'sample boards' for presentation to clients.
  • Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models, and schemes using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Have experience on projects like corporate offices, interiors, hospitality, and residential, managing teams and supervising work at the design stage and on-site.
  • Work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space.
  • Identify new business opportunities and promote our services to potential clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the design industry and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.
  • Possess proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator or other design programs.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold a degree in Interiors or a relevant field.
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial office design.
  • Creativity, imagination, and an eye for design, including colour and good 3D awareness.
  • Able to visualize concepts and explain them to others.
  • Good drawing skills.
  • An interest in changing trends in design.
  • Team management skills.
  • Presentation skills.
