Restaurant Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of managing daily restaurant operations. They will oversee the dining area, supervise food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies, create a positive team atmosphere among Team Members, and maintain records of staff performance and operating costs.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the dining area and supervise food and beverage service staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration among Team Members.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff performance and operating costs to inform future business decisions.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to Team Members to help them improve their skills and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve restaurant operations.
  • Treat all Team Members fairly and with respect to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Set high standards for Team Member behavior on shift to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and handling procedures are followed.
  • Handle guest complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize regular meetings with food and beverage staff to review policies and gather feedback.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prepare payroll, and manage bookkeeping tasks.
  • Inspect the quality of delivered fresh food and baked goods to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Meet with suppliers to order necessary supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Total daily receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and secure the facility at the end of each day.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, time management, persuasion, patience, learning ability, a positive attitude, trustworthiness, and a calm demeanor. A degree in Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification is essential, along with 1.5 years of experience as a Restaurant Operations Manager or similar role.
