Job Title: Operations Director

A key challenge in the establishment of a manufacturing unit is developing and implementing efficient processes that meet strategic growth objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the plant, developing production systems, managing operations, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and building a skilled workforce to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end manufacturing processes, including layout planning, infrastructure development, and machinery installation.
  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.
  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and implement robust testing procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement strict safety protocols and conduct regular audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate new technologies into production, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Align manufacturing capacity with market demand and business growth targets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, quality performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing setup and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Excellent supply chain and vendor management skills.
  • Able to drive business growth through effective process implementation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of setting up or scaling manufacturing facilities.
