Urdu Language Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the development of AI models by ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and creative adaptability in Urdu.

In this role, you will craft high-quality written content, evaluate human- and AI-generated text, and contribute to projects that advance AI's understanding of language and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate, engaging, and contextually appropriate written responses in Urdu for a variety of prompts.
  • Evaluate and review both human- and AI-generated content for accuracy, tone, clarity, safety, and cultural alignment.
  • Provide detailed linguistic assessments, focusing on style, nuance, bias, clarity, and intent.
  • Conduct peer reviews of linguistic contributions to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Design creative content such as prompts, role-play scenarios, games, and thought experiments to test and challenge AI capabilities.
  • Explore cultural aspects of Urdu language use, including idioms, humor, irony, and traditions.
Qualifications:
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong English-language communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Urdu writing, editing, or content creation with command over tone, style, and genre.
  • In-depth knowledge of Urdu culture, idioms, humor, and societal nuances.
  • Experience in linguistics, translation, teaching, or language-related projects preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and refine text for clarity, engagement, and accuracy.
  • Willingness to complete a Urdu writing skills assessment during the selection process.
