Senior Video Content Creator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced video content creator to join our growing content team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production principles, including storytelling, pacing, visual aesthetics, and audio synchronization.

The role involves creating high-quality video content for YouTube, ensuring fluid transitions, engaging sound effects, and suitable background music. This includes performing colour grading and correction to ensure all content aligns with our brand's visual style.

In addition to video editing, the successful candidate will be responsible for adding text overlays, captions, and subtitles to make content accessible and engaging. They will also design compelling thumbnails that encourage viewers to click and engage with the video content.

A key aspect of this position is collaboration with the editorial and production teams to maintain the quality and consistency of all video content. The successful candidate should stay up-to-date with the latest trends in news, cinema, video production techniques, and YouTube best practices.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess 2-3 years of experience in video content creation, particularly for YouTube or news/entertainment content. A strong understanding of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, After Effects, etc.) is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate proven creativity in storytelling and a keen eye for detail.

An ability to work independently while maintaining communication and collaboration within the team is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively understand and execute creative briefs.

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SEO for YouTube and best practices for video optimization is desirable.
  • Familiarity with trends in digital content strategy and video engagement is beneficial.
