Aircraft Propulsion Systems Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Propulsion Systems Lead to lead the design and development of cutting-edge nacelle systems for our project.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, decomposing, and managing system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
  • They will oversee conceptual and detailed design of nacelle systems, integrating them with the engine and aircraft, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Maintenance of configuration management throughout the product lifecycle is also a key responsibility.
  • The role involves developing and managing testing and validation plans for nacelle components and systems, as well as analyzing test data to verify system performance and compliance.
  • Analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and manage system-level requirements for nacelles.
  • Oversee conceptual and detailed design of nacelle systems.
  • Develop and manage testing and validation plans.
  • Analyze test data to verify system performance and compliance.
  • Conduct design trade-off studies to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft propulsion systems design.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software.
