Job Overview

A skilled and motivated Design Engineer is needed to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and firefighting systems for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

This position requires technical expertise in system design, regulatory compliance, and effective project management to ensure safe and efficient installation and operation of building services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design appropriate plumbing systems for the project.
  • Perform calculations as directed by senior engineer.
  • Design plumbing system layouts, including pipe sizing and equipment selection.
  • Knowledge of International Plumbing design codes.
  • Ability to work in BIM environment with Revit.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to develop designs.

HVAC Systems:

  • Conduct heat load calculations using HAP to determine heating and cooling requirements.
  • Design HVAC systems, including water-cooled and air-cooled chiller plants, VRF systems, and DX systems.
  • Select equipment based on project specifications.
  • Calculate ventilation requirements, pressurization needs, and smoke management systems.
  • Select air distribution components, such as VAV boxes and grilles.
  • Coordinate HVAC designs with other disciplines.

Firefighting Systems:

  • Design fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and hydrants.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems.
  • Design and layout fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Review fire protection system submittals and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or master's in mechanical.
  • 8-15 years of experience in Plumbing/HVAC & Firefighting.
