Job Title: Technical Training ManagerAbout the Role:

The Technical Training Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the training and development of medical coders within an organization.

This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive training programs, ensuring compliance with coding standards and regulations, and maintaining high levels of coding accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of medical coding trainers and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
  • Develop career development plans for coding staff to foster growth and advancement within the organization.
  • Design and develop tailored training programs for new medical coding specialties.
  • Update training materials regularly to reflect the latest coding standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Implement e-learning platforms and tools to enhance training accessibility and engagement.
  • Work closely with the medical coding team and other relevant departments to ensure cohesive training strategies.
  • Track and report on training program effectiveness, coder performance, and compliance metrics.
  • Analyze coding data to identify trends, training needs, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical sciences or a related field.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in medical coding with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other relevant coding systems.
  • Experience in Multispecialty.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using medical coding software and e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
