Job Opportunity:

This is a role focused on reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and standards. The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal counsel and other departments to help safeguard the company's interests and maintain required compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contract Review & Drafting:
    • Review, draft, and negotiate various types of contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
    • Evaluate contracts for compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
    • Collaborate in developing standard contract templates and processes.
    • Support business teams in advising on day-to-day issues related to client agreements.
  • Compliance Support:
    • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
    • Contribute to internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
    • Participate in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
    • Provide advice on corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Legal Research & Advisory:
    • Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Offer recommendations and advice on legal risks and compliance matters to stakeholders.
    • Support senior legal counsel and the legal team in preparing legal opinions and reports.
  • General Legal Support:
    • Support corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
    • Assist the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
    • Maintain contract databases and records.

Requirements:

  • A law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  • 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with contract laws and commercial agreements.
