Job Description

As a seasoned data expert, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable database systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high-availability Cloudera Data Platform clusters, guaranteeing optimal performance.
  • Administer and monitor Apache Kafka clusters, focusing on topic management, performance optimization, and security enhancements.
  • Provide comprehensive database administration for Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL systems, including backup and recovery procedures, performance tuning, and configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to optimize data pipelines, ensuring data integrity across platforms.
  • Implement and enforce industry-standard security best practices across all data platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the data stack in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge effectively.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL database technologies.
  • Demonstrated capability to seamlessly integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team setting.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality documentation and maintain organized workspaces.
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies, covering a wide range of solutions including HDFS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic, SQL Server.
