Job Title: Senior Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive initiatives to develop and continuously improve our data engineering capabilities
  • Design, build, and optimize complex data pipelines for structured and unstructured datasets
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes using SQL and modern big data frameworks
  • Work with data platforms to enable data integration, transformation, and analytics
  • Collaborate with technical leads to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance
  • Apply advanced data processing concepts (e.g., partitioning, distributed compute, streaming/batch data flows)
  • Support performance tuning, monitoring, and automation of data workflows
  • Develop data modeling processes
  • Contribute to assessments and adoption of new data solutions (e.g., cloud-based services)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to lead data engineering projects from inception to delivery, communicating effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of data modeling to link data entities
  • Proficiency in SQL (queries, optimization, stored procedures)
  • Familiarity with big data processing (distributed computing, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake concepts, data partitioning, schema evolution)
  • Knowledge of cloud data ecosystems (AWS, GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms
  • Knowledge of data governance tools (e.g., Collibra) and data cataloguing concepts
  • Exposure to DevOps/MLOps practices (CI/CD, Git, automation tools)
