Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

Work with a team of experts in designing and developing innovative solutions using Teradata SQL.

As a Data Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and Developing Solutions: Based on specifications received from stakeholders, create efficient data models and develop high-quality data processing solutions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with project teams to meet project expectations and deliver results-oriented solutions.
  • Technical Solution Proposals: Develop and propose technical solutions that cater to business needs and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices, coding standards, and development culture within the team.
  • Teradata Development Expertise: Leverage your experience in Teradata development activities, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • SQL Code Development: Develop Teradata SQL code based on requirements and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Teradata Tools Proficiency: Have hands-on experience with Teradata tools such as BTEQ, Fast Load, TPT, Macros, and Procedures.
  • Data Modelling: Possess expertise in data modelling and have experience in automating tasks using Unix shell scripts or Windows/Python.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Participating in Code Reviews and Providing Feedback
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging Database Issues

Core Skills Required:

Programming Languages: Shell Scripting and Python

Databases: Teradata SQL, Teradata Stored Procedures, Snowflake, Data Modelling

Utilities: Teradata BTEQ, Fast Load, and TPT
