Job Summary:

This role involves ensuring the timely settlement of CCPM project costs, safeguarding profit margins on part costs, and conducting regular commodity expense monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost settlement with suppliers using Zero Base Costing (ZBC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology.
  • Regular analysis of commodity expenses and quarterly reviews of raw material prices to inform cost-effective commercial settlements.
  • Monitoring of supplier capability in cost drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Optimization of input raw materials and post-operation expenses.
  • Negotiation of Machine Hour Rates (MHR) with suppliers for press, CNC, VMC, and coating processes at competitive pricing.
  • Analysis of spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Settlement of supplier claims and negotiation of settlements.
Requirements:
  • Process knowledge including Drawn, Formed, Machined, and Surface Finished Processes.
  • Understanding of Raw Material Grades.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems including IATF 2016 and Core Tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
  • Process understanding in Rubber, Injection Molding, and Blow Molding.
  • Familiarity with Process Details and Machine MHR Rates.
  • Understanding of Raw Material Rates.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD/3D Software and experience with location-wise labor rates, landed electricity charges, and their details break-ups.
  • Knowledge of Skill Enhancement Methodology to improve productivity and efficiency for commercial aspects.
  • Knowledge of Line Balancing, KANBAN, JIT, and TQM techniques and their application in commercial aspects.
  • Understanding of Existing Tax Structures and Legal Compliance.

8-14 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing are required. A Diploma or BE (Mechanical) / NTTF, IGTR qualification is essential.
