Strategic Credit Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Strategist to spearhead and refine our unsecured lending credit risk framework, driving policy development, analytics enhancements, underwriting model optimization, and portfolio performance monitoring for optimal risk-adjusted returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Risk Framework & Policy Development
    • Establish and maintain robust credit risk policies and frameworks for unsecured products, ensuring alignment with market trends, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
    • Collaborate with product and analytics teams to design and implement effective credit strategies for new and existing products, optimizing risk exposure and return on investment.
  • Underwriting Model Optimization
    • Develop and enhance credit scorecards and rule engines in partnership with data science and analytics teams, leveraging machine learning and statistical techniques to improve predictive accuracy.
    • Monitor and refine underwriting model performance, recommending adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal risk-adjusted returns.
  • Portfolio Performance Monitoring & MIS
    • Analyze portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals using advanced dashboards and analytics, identifying areas for improvement and informing strategic decision-making.
    • Lead regular credit reviews and present portfolio health insights to senior management, providing actionable recommendations for portfolio optimization.
    • Design and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and early warning systems (EWS), ensuring proactive risk management and minimization of potential losses.
    Requirements:
    • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or CA.
    • 7-12 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably with unsecured lending expertise in NBFCs or Fintechs.
    • Deep understanding of consumer credit products and the risk lifecycle, with a focus on working capital underwriting.
