Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to join our organization.

Job Summary:

  • Develop, implement and review credit risk models and associated frameworks in an unsecured rural/semi-urban lending context.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Risk Model Development: Design, develop, and implement credit risk models to evaluate the likelihood of borrower default.
  2. Risk Strategy Implementation: Implement and monitor credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell, and collections.
  3. Portfolio Review: Regularly review the portfolio on various risk metrics for early warning signals and analyze portfolio trends to track portfolio quality based on accepted risk parameters.
  4. Policy Review: Ensure risk policies are timely reviewed and reflect the dynamic external environment and internal risk appetite.
  5. Industry Analysis: Analyze industry data on a large scale, prepare MIS/Dashboards, and apprise senior management on changing market conditions.
  6. Process Review: Regularly review processes for adherence to risk policies and ensure controls are effectively in place and working.
  7. Team Coordination: Coordinate with various internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a financial institution or fintech company
  • 2+ years of experience in Python and SQL is mandatory
  • Excellent understanding of data and bringing insights
  • Solid knowledge of statistical models
  • Experience in microfinance/MSME lending will be an added advantage
