We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-in/Check-out: Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Payment and Room Keys: Secure payment and activate/reissue room keys as needed.
  • Rate Verification: Ensure that room rates match market codes and document any exceptions.
  • Billing and Communication: Verify and adjust billing for guests, communicate with staff regarding guest wait lists, and advise guests of messages.
  • Room Status and Guest Concerns: Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and address guest concerns.
  • Paperwork and Documentation: File guest paperwork and documentation as required.
  • Switchboard Operations: Operate the telephone switchboard station and answer, record, and process guest calls.
  • Reports and Contingency Planning: Run and check daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
  • Direction and Assistance: Supply guests with directions and information, arrange transportation for guests, and count and secure bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Cash Handling and Payment Processing: Cash guests' checks, process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change.
  • Theft Reporting: Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents and injuries, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
  • Guest Relations: Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Speak clearly and professionally, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, develop and maintain positive working relationships, and support the team to reach common goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Comply with quality assurance standards and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: No related work experience is required.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Licenses and Certifications: None required.
