
Sales Business Development Manager

Job Overview:
This role oversees key distributor relationships to drive sales growth, improve market share and optimize business performance.
Key Responsibilities:- To lead the distributor team in achieving sales targets by providing guidance on product knowledge, sales strategies and CRM usage.
- To develop and execute sales strategies that meet company objectives, ensuring effective deployment of products and promotions across target markets.
- To manage relationships with key distributors and Self-Service Outlets (SSOs), identifying new business opportunities and implementing initiatives to enhance sales performance.
Team Management & Training:
- Hire and train Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs) to enhance their capabilities and achieve business goals.
- Provide regular training sessions on product knowledge, sales strategies, discounts and promotions to ensure DSRs are equipped to meet customer needs.
Sales & Market Strategy Execution:
- Drive revenue growth by executing sales strategies that meet company objectives, ensuring effective deployment of products and promotions across target markets.
- Develop and manage relationships with key distributors and SSOs, identifying new business opportunities and implementing initiatives to enhance sales performance.
Distributor & Channel Management:
- Collaborate with distributors to expand reach and maintain consistent sales performance.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily and weekly routines, invoicing and market activities.
Business Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on key sales metrics such as invoicing, revenue, collections and product performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with distributors to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues.
Market Intelligence & Customer Focus:
- Collect and report on competitor intelligence to stay ahead in the market.
- Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution to maintain a positive reputation.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
- University degree, preferably with an MBA.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of sales experience in a manufacturing or distribution-based industry.
- Prior experience in managing distributors or indirect teams is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to execute sales strategies and drive results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to relocate within India if required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
