Deputy Manager, Molding Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling & Monitoring: Responsible for production scheduling, monitoring, and reporting. Develop and maintain efficient production schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Productivity Improvements: Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Process Development: Prepare process parameters and other process documents to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Manpower Allocation & People Development: Allocate manpower resources effectively and develop team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality systems (TS and EMS) and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of molding machines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Training & Mentorship: Train team members and mentor them to adapt to changing productivity requirements.
  • Cycle Time Optimization: Analyze and optimize molding cycle times to improve efficiency.
  • Customer Complaints & Analysis: Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Operational Expertise: Possess hands-on experience in running injection molding machines and accessories.
  • Tool Trials & Material Processing: Conduct new tool trials for plastic parts and process different types of plastic materials.
  • Stock Reconciliation & Safety Protocols: Reconcile RM/WIP stocks at month-end and adhere to safety protocols while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Near Miss Incidents & Energy Performance: Inform near miss incidents immediately and regularly monitor energy performance.
