Commi Chef Job DescriptionOverview

The Commi Chef role is a starting point for culinary careers, offering opportunities to learn kitchen operations under the supervision of senior chefs.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, seasoning)
  2. Support senior chefs during meal prep and service
  3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  4. Receive and organize deliveries
  5. Rotate stock and discard expired items
  6. Plate and present dishes as instructed
  7. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
  • Basic culinary knowledge and knife skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Teamwork and communication abilities
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours
  • Culinary certification or diploma (preferred but not always required)
