Mendix Platform Administrator plays a critical role in managing the Mendix platform and its applications within an organization.

Key responsibilities include:

User and Access Management: Inviting new users, managing user roles and permissions, and setting up access controls to ensure appropriate access to applications and data.

Application Deployment and Monitoring: Overseeing the deployment of new applications, monitoring their performance, and managing the application lifecycle.

Platform Configuration and Maintenance: Configuring settings within the platform, managing content from the marketplace, and ensuring the platform is running smoothly.

Troubleshooting and Support: Addressing issues related to the platform and applications, working with teams to resolve problems.

Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the platform and its data, including user authentication and authorization.

Collaboration and Communication: Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the platform effectively supports business needs.

Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with the latest platform features, security updates, and best practices.

Specific Tasks:

  • Managing Users and Groups: Creating, modifying, and removing user accounts and access rights.
  • Managing Apps: Deploying new applications, managing versions, and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Managing Marketplace Content: Adding and configuring components from the Mendix Marketplace.
  • Monitoring Platform Health: Tracking resource usage, performance, and security logs.
  • Configuring Platform Settings: Setting up company-specific configurations, such as security settings and branding.
  • Troubleshooting Issues: Investigating and resolving platform and application-related issues.
  • Documenting Processes: Creating and maintaining documentation for platform usage and administration.
