Project Director Position

The primary objective of this role is to successfully manage refurbishment projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to set objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing project design reviews, facilitating coordination among teams, and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.

  • Design Review: Ensure that all design submissions conform to established standards and align with organizational policies.
  • Coordination: Coordinate between project teams and various stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Major Challenges:

  • Meeting project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely certification of project claims and payments.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring clear communication across functions and locations.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks early on to minimize delays and cost overruns.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, planning, and execution, with focus on refurbishment and contract management.
  • Proven project management skills and knowledge of relevant software such as AutoCAD, MSP, MS Office, and SAP.

Key Qualities:

  • In-depth knowledge of building construction and refurbishment projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
  • Able to build and strengthen partnerships by engaging, negotiating, and collaborating effectively with service partners.
  • Commercial property development, building engineering management, occupier relationships, and technical proficiency to engage effectively with teams/partners.

Awareness of industry best practices and latest trends, as well as understanding of commercial, legal, and regulatory aspects are essential for this role.
