Job Title: Client Portfolio Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Client Portfolio Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to key clients in the music industry.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience working in a client-facing role, ideally at a music publisher. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret client data and develop actionable improvements.
The Client Portfolio Manager will serve as the dedicated point of contact for a portfolio of clients, maintaining clear, proactive, and tailored communication through regular emails, calls, and meetings. They will oversee the efficient handling of client queries, collaborating with internal business units to ensure timely and accurate responses.
The role requires a strong understanding of the music publishing ecosystem and the evolving global landscape in music copyright. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music, with a strong enthusiasm and commitment to supporting talent and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the dedicated Client Portfolio Manager for a portfolio of clients, delivering a seamless and premium client experience.
- Drive additional revenue for Clients by implementing a lean forward approach and continually looking for ways to ensure maximum value from the deal.
- Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, maintaining clear, proactive, and tailored communication through regular emails, calls, and meetings.
- Liaise with Operations for onboarding processes, ensuring clients are seamlessly integrated and continually updated throughout.
- Oversee the efficient handling of client queries, collaborating with internal business units to ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives, developing and refining strategies aimed at maximising their publishing revenue.
- Proactively identify opportunities for clients to gain greater value from the services offered, leveraging available business tools and insights to assess client performance, uncover revenue, and recommend tailored strategies.
- Serve as a trusted music publishing advisor for your portfolio of clients, offering tailored guidance on best practices, effective copyright management, and income maximisation across sources.
- Collaborate with internal business units, including Marketing, Copyright, Finance, and Sync, to enhance client servicing and represent clients' evolving needs in the development of service delivery standards and strategies.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience working in a client-facing role in the music industry, ideally at a music publisher.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret client data and develop actionable improvements.
- Strong understanding of the music publishing ecosystem and the evolving global landscape in music copyright.
- Passionate about music, with a strong enthusiasm and commitment to supporting talent and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build relationships focused on trust and transparency across diverse client types.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in music, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, HubSpot preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite and other data tools is an advantage.
- Ability to establish context in conversations and communications to drive opportunity.
- Knowledge of solid understanding of the music publishing ecosystem and the evolving global landscape in music copyright.
