Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

As a Mechanical CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and documenting precision parts for CNC-machined and cast components. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of our AI product that generates 2D drawings from 3D models by bringing your mechanical engineering knowledge and experience with geometrical tolerancing to the table.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing simulations and tests to validate designs, creating technical drawings and documentation,
  • Applying GD&T per ISO, ASME Y14.5 standards to define form, fit, and function of parts
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to iterate on designs
  • Supporting design reviews and providing technical input on manufacturability
Required Qualifications
  • 2–7 years of hands-on experience in 2D mechanical engineering for products from prototype to production, with a primary focus on CNC machining and casting
  • Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and other CAD software i.e. NX, CATIA 
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T principles
  • ISO or ASME Y14.5 certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory
