Robotics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team and contribute to designing high-precision gimbal & motor control systems for real-time laser targeting.

  • This position involves developing robust BLDC motor control algorithms (microsecond precision) and integrating with our AI & perception team to connect weed detection with precision actuation.
  • You will be responsible for building sensor fusion pipelines combining IMU, GNSS, RTK, odometry, and custom sensors, as well as testing and tuning control systems in real-world field conditions (dust, heat, vibrations, uneven terrain).
  • The successful candidate will also implement safety mechanisms, redundancy, and fail-safe protocols for field deployment, and collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate actuators, gimbals, and hardware subsystems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience with BLDC motor control and precision positioning systems.
  • Strong knowledge of control theory (PID, adaptive control, state-space).
  • Hands-on programming in C++/Python on embedded systems.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
  • A comfort working at the intersection of hardware + software + field testing.
