Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the highest standards of software quality. Your primary responsibility will be to execute thorough test cases, identify defects, and validate system functionality.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute UAT test cases thoroughly, document results, and report defects accurately.
  • Be responsible for the UAT outcomes and take ownership of the end-to-end UAT delivery for assigned modules or features.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including business users, developers, and other testers, to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Log, track, and retest defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 2-6 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on UAT.
  • Domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, specifically with Motor/Fleet Claims.
  • Guidewire platform experience, preferably with ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or HP ALM.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases to perform data validation, backend testing, and root cause analysis of defects.
  • Familiarity with testing APIs using tools like Postman or similar platforms to validate data exchange between systems.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, with direct experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
