
Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within the manufacturing process. This role involves ensuring product quality meets established standards, identifying and resolving quality issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality Control Inspections**:
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize various inspection methods (visual, dimensional, functional) to identify defects and non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
- **Process Monitoring**:
- Monitor production processes to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems and implement effective solutions.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards).
- Maintain and update quality control documentation.
- **Data Analysis & Reporting**:
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
- **Team Leadership & Training**:
- Provide guidance and training to production personnel on quality control procedures.
- Motivate and lead the quality control team.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and procedures.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
- **Experience**: 4-7 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- **Skills**:
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- **Other**:
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram).
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
