Job Title: Senior Tax Advisory Associate

Key Responsibilities:
  • Merge and Acquisitions (M&A) tax advisory on complex issues such as mergers, demergers, spin-offs, business transfers etc.
  • Preparation and review of transaction documentation with emphasis on international standards.
  • Conducting direct tax due diligence including research on varied income-tax issues.
  • International tax advisory with a focus on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS (MLI), General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA), domestic tax laws and Foreign Exchange Management Act/ regulatory issues.
  • Inbound and outbound structuring to optimize business operations.
  • Treaty interpretations and drafting submissions for direct tax litigation.
  • Preparing deliverables in the form of slide-deck, opinion, note and memo.
