Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Security Officer to lead and oversee security operations across our university campuses. As a key member of our administration, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, visitors, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of security operations, including planning, development, and implementation of security protocols, crisis management, and emergency response procedures.
  • Supervise and train internal security teams and liaise with outsourced security agencies to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Maintain vigilance over campus access points, ensure perimeter security, and monitor CCTV surveillance systems to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Liaise with local authorities and other relevant agencies as necessary to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular security audits, threat assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
  • Handle situations involving student discipline, theft, vandalism, protests, and any unlawful activities with fairness and firmness, while upholding university policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to campus safety and security.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Retired military officer from paramilitary forces with at least 15 years of service experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven leadership and crisis management skills, with experience in handling complex security operations in an educational or large institutional setup.
