Position Name: Director - Placement

SGT University is in search of a seasoned professional to work as a Director of Placement for its campus in Gurugram, NCR Region, to oversee and manage multiple Stores Departments in various locations within the University and Hospital.

The University (a Health Sciences University), in its campus spread over 70 acres near Gurgaon, offers courses in Health Sciences, such as Medicine, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, and also in Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Hotel Management, Business Management, Arts and Science. It nurtures more than Eight thousand students and is a hub of activities involving the nation's who's who. It is a part of a group that spans fields in education, hospitality, and employs over two thousand people. The campus offers excellent support facilities such as shopping, medical facilities, entertainment and transportation. The campus is located less than 5 km from the Delhi border of Daurala and offers convenient access to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

Job Description

The Director, Placement will be responsible for preparing students for the placements and ensuring placements of students in programs. The incumbent should be target driven, have connects with Good Corporates for Campus Recruitment, Excellent Negotiation Skill & Communication Skills.

The focus should be on leading all engagement activities from the pre-placement stage, through the placement procedure, and the placement stage by monitoring, controlling and reporting progress. Some of the specific responsibilities include:

Placement Support

• A strong industry connection with private sector companies, startups, recruitment firms and HR Consultants preferably Delhi – NCR.
• Well-connected with the Industry Associations, Forums, and Industry Captain.
• Well-versed with online communities and social media platforms.
• Versatile in networking through job portals and various technology platforms .
• Interacting with industries on a regular basis concerning career opportunities and employment trend.
• To connect with other resources and institutions (government affiliated bodies).
• Helping Placement & Departments to identify internship (6 months, 6-8 weeks opportunities for students when required.
• Handling complete placement data management and maintaining internship and placement data.
• Preparing detailed reports from placement data for periodical reviews.
• Ability to manage flexible & extended time requirements as and when needed.
• Identify and organize interaction programs on career opportunities in the university and external agencies.
• Tracking application forms, pre-screening candidates, shortlisting and scheduling interviews.
• Monitoring individual candidates' progress.
• Providing counselling on procedures to the applicants.
• Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of applicants' information in electronic and digital format.

Training Support

• Organize Skill Lab Orientation programs.
• Take full responsibility for enrolling students in the Career Service Tech platform by coordinating with different academic institutions.
• Conducting various training programs at different academic institutions.
• Work closely with subject experts, learning engagement coaches to revise and update the curriculums.
• Proactively strengthen your knowledge and provide feedback on methodologies in the training process.
• Oversee and manage the Digitally Enabled Platform for which training shall be provided.

Skill-set required

Educational Qualifications:

Essential: A Bachelors' degree in management, human resources, business administration, or a related field.

Desirable: Post graduate degree in management, human resources, business administration, or a related field.

Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in placement process, such as on campus placement drives, off campus placement drives, placement portals, Applicants' Tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software etc.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years or more of relevant experience in Corporate Placements in NCR Region.
